Working on various projects from still life to portraiture discover how to see and draw with proportion and perspective.
Composition, mark making, the importance of line and tone will be covered using a variety of media including graphite, charcoal and ink.
The classes include demonstrations, sharing tips and regular critiques.
While aimed at beginners all levels of experience are welcome.
This block of classes is $130/student
Materials as listed below will need to be purchased by students and brought along to class
At least 10 x A2 or larger cartridge sheets.
Several A2 or larger 150 to 200 g heavier weight paper for ink and wash work.
2 bull dog clips
Sketchbook (A4) for preparatory sketches and notes.
Graphite pencils 2B, 4B ,6B
Willow charcoal- a pack of medium sticks. 1 x compressed charcoal stick.
Stanley knife/pencil sharpener Eraser (putty and hard)
Black drawing ink, mop brush that comes to a point when wet for ink wash work
Protective apron/shirt, Rags (e.g. old T-towel or t-shirt)
