Blindspot is a collaboration by five regional artists. The exhibition speaks to issues that appear to be overlooked.
Each artist has made work that relates to an issue that is important personally. The works, although different in medium and scope, are unified by their directness. The exhibition speaks to the pain, the loss, the grief, associated with different aspects of our lives, culture and environment. Ultimately the exhibition aims to provide hope, optimism and vision for a better future; motivating and educating visitors to understand more deeply and improve the world around us.
The exhibition Incorporates a range of lenses and mediums, including digital projection and motion detection. The exhibition has been assisted by a grant from the Arts North West. These funds were used to ensure the exhibition is covid-19 safe.
The exhibition is curated by Emma Stilts, a member of the Tamworth Regional Art Collective.
This exhibition will offer a number of public programs which will follow Service NSW Covid-19 Safe guidelines.
