Exclusive Access and Guided Tour

Featuring the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia, join Gallery staff for an exclusive tour through the Archibald Prize 2023 Touring Exhibition from the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The tour will include a visit the Gallery's own Collection and includes a peak behind-the-scenes of the second oldest gallery in regional New South Wales.

Learn the stories and insights of the 2023 Archibald Prize, including the significance of Julia Gutman's winning textile work, the portrait of her friend, singer-songwriter Jessica Cerro (aka Montaigne) within the setting of Tamworth National Textile Collection.

The tour will include a complimentary glass of champagne and nibbles. Bring a friend and experience the Archibald in a unique way, and enjoy the opportunity to have the gallery to yourself after-hours. 

An engaging evening of artful insights. This licensed event is available for adults only. 
The gallery is fully accessible and offers free parking at the rear of the building.
